Conference Venues SA started in 2004 as a single directory binder on a planner's desk. Today it's the largest independent index of conference, meeting, and event venues in South Africa.

We speak to venue sales teams every week — which banquet hall has been refurbished, which lodge's conference room now has decent fibre, who has a last-minute cancellation in October. That proprietary ground-truth is what makes our shortlists land.

We're also independent. We don't own the venues, we don't take a cut from the planner, and we don't dress up listings to favour advertisers. Recommendations are based on fit — nothing else.

How do I find the right conference venue in South Africa?

Is Conference Venues SA really free for planners?
Entirely. The service is paid by venues when a booking completes — planners never see a fee on their invoice and we don't mark up quoted rates. It's the same model as a travel agent.
How many venues do you list?
Over 1,850 across all nine provinces — conference centres, business hotels, lodges, resorts and country guest houses. We add roughly 20 new venues each month.
Which cities and regions do you cover?
All major conference cities — Johannesburg, Sandton, Pretoria, Midrand, Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Durban, Umhlanga, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Kimberley and Rustenburg — plus bushveld, winelands, coastal and Karoo country venues.
Do your venues include catering and accommodation?
Most offer in-house catering, AV equipment and on-site accommodation. Each listing spells out day-delegate and 24-hour rates so you can compare inclusions side-by-side.
Can I request a venue that isn't listed?
Yes. If you already have a venue in mind, we can negotiate rates and coordinate the booking on your behalf — free of charge. Mention it in your quote request.
