About Mokopane

Mokopane (formerly Potgietersrus) sits 60 km north of Polokwane on the N1, in the Limpopo Bushveld. It is a working farming and mining town — the Mogalakwena platinum mine (one of the world's largest open-cast platinum mines) is immediately west, and the Mokopane Biosphere Game Reserve hosts a substantial population of the country's rare brown hyenas.
